Steamed Chicken


We are both watching our weight, so I tried steaming chicken! I lined the steamer with some baking paper so the flavours would stay in. Never done it before, so it was a new experience.

I used a mix of garlic, ginger, lemon grass, coriander, mint and low sodium soy with sesame seeds.. In hindsight, I should have dumped some honey in as well. Mix it all up and marinate the chicken for an hour or so (or not if you are short on time). Pop in your lined steamer and on top of a pot of boiling water. I left it too long, so it was a tad dry. Go for 10 mins I think tops. It was still nice. With salad and asian dressings. Will try again for sure. You don’t always get it right on try #1!
